If you’ve been looking into apprenticeships, you might already know how complicated some of the application processes are. Gone are the days of cover letter + CV = interview, instead applicants to top apprenticeship and early careers opportunities face a number of different hurdles to overcome.

This can all seem a bit daunting, so where to start?

Lucky for you, Uptree has launched Get Employed - a series of after-school online workshops focused on supporting you to get that dream role.

Our interactive sessions cover everything from that first written application, through assessment centres, different sorts of interview and even aptitude tests.

How to take part?

Sign up on our new Uptree Event page - like our employer-led events, you’ll need to provide us with a short motivation statement telling us why you want to take part. Two weeks in advance we’ll ask you to confirm your place and we’ll send you information on how to join from one week before the session.

Sessions are weekly on Tuesday from 4pm-5pm, and will be via Microsoft Teams or Zoom - we’ll let you know with plenty of time.

What to expect?

Some of the sessions will be interactive workshops - you’ll be expected to take part in activities and perhaps give feedback to your peers. You don’t need to have your camera on, but if you do, be aware that other students will be able to see you.

Other sessions will be webinar form - you’ll only be able to see the presenter, but you’ll still be able to ask questions via the chat.

After the session

As a thank you for filling in our feedback form after the session, we’ll send you a resource pack to further help you achieve your goals.

If you attend three tailored sessions, plus three webinars, we will send you a Get Employed certificate to celebrate your achievement.
