What is Consulting at KPMG?

In Consulting, we work with our clients to help them overcome the challenges they're facing now, and in the future.

We work across diverse industries and sectors, offering advice on how companies can grow with confidence, avoid risk or deal with the unexpected. We do that by immersing ourselves in our clients' organisations and applying fresh-thinking to deliver the best possible outcomes. In Managed Services, we work with clients who are looking to temporarily outsource parts of their business.

Consulting Managed Services Apprenticeship

The work we do in Managed Services often needs to be mobilised quickly and can vary in size and scope.  On this two-year apprenticeship, you could be part of a team of between 10 to 650 colleagues working on a project at any one time.

The type of work our apprentices get involved in is varied, and you will spend time in a range of teams. You could be involved in anything from analysing data, supporting strategic planning, developing new recruitment processes, assessing the impact of transformational change to testing the efficiency of our risk management tools. The work you do will add real value to the businesses we work with – whilst providing you with a wide range of experience and the opportunity to learn core business skills.

Training and Benefits

You’ll have access to an extensive programme of internal training geared towards your career and personal development; and the chance to use your skills to make a difference through a range of community volunteering initiatives.  On this apprenticeship, you’ll study for the Level 4 Business Administration qualification. You’ll have the opportunity to earn a salary, gain valuable work experience, and achieve an industry-recognised qualification - all at the same time. We offer a host of great benefits too, including 25 days holiday, study leave and a day off on your birthday.

Your qualifications

We will look at your academic results, and will also consider your strengths, values and motivations. See our ‘Applying to KPMG’ section on our Careers Portal for further guidance.
