What is the Buisness Degree Apprenticeship?
You will study towards a BA/BSc Hons Chartered Manager at Hertfordshire University for 4 years, which MBDA will fully fund, and is also accredited by the Chartered Management Institute. You will be required to attend university one day a week and will work within MBDA on rotational palcements for the remaining four days. This way of studying allows you to earn an academic and nationally recognised qualification as well as gain hands on learning experience within a professional and friendly workplace.
There are two streams within the Business Degree Apprenticeship that you may join. We will consider you for both unless you specify an interest in only one within your application.
In our Business stream you will experience placements in:
- Project Management
- Commercial
- Procurement
- Supply Chain
In our Sales and Business Development (SBD) stream placements will be focused more on SBD:
- Engaging with the UK Ministry of Defence and International customers
- Developing product strategy, industrial strategy, communications, marketing and bid management. In addition you will spend a summer in one of MBDA’s international offices! (subject to any restrictions).
Who can apply?
This role has specific qualification level and subject criteria:
- 5 x GCSES to include: Maths & English Language Grade 9 – 4 (Achieved)
- 120 UCAS points achieved through either:
- Alevels: 3 x B's (or ABC) in any subject
- BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma minimum DDM in any subject
- A basic level of ICT skills is beneficial for this role
