What Operations Apprenticeships & General Engineering Apprenticeships are Available? 

 

1. MBDA General Engineering Apprenticeship (Level 4), Stevenage - Apply

Engineering apprentices study towards a Level 4 Diploma Engineering Manufacturing Technician at Oaklands College in Welwyn Garden City, and work within MBDA on rotational placements for 4 years. This way of studying allows you to earn academic and nationally recognised qualifications as well as gain hands on learning experience within a professional and friendly workplace.

The entry requirements are: 

  • 5 x GCSE qualifications at Grade 4 - 9, to include Maths at Grade 5/6 (B), English language and a Science, technology or Engineering related subject.
  • 96 UCAS points through A level qualifications, minimum C for each subject, or through a single 90+ credit Engineering BTEC Level 3 Diploma (MMM) PLUS Further Mechanical or Further Electrical Principles.

This apprenticeship will see individuals both working with and studying Maths based principles and practices and is therefore suited to those that enjoy Maths and its practical application.

 

2. MBDA Operations Apprenticeship (Level 3), Bolton - Apply

On this 4 year programme you'll work towards a Level 3 Eng Tech awarded by the IET. During your first year you'll be studying full time at College. Years 2, 3 and 4 you'll be studying 1 day per week at College, which will be delivered through a blend of virtual and Face to Face as appropriate. The remainder of your working week will be either onsite or a blend of onsite/offsite working, experiencing different placements putting in to practice the practical skills you've been learning.

The entry requirements are: 

  • 5 x GCSES Grade 9 – 4 Achieved, including: Maths & English Language & a Science / Technology subject Grade 9 – 4

Further opportunities during the completion of your apprenticeship may lead to more specialist skills such as electro-mechanical dual skilling.
