Overview

Location: Cambridge, Manchester, Sheffield

Start Date: 8th September 2025

Application Criteria: 

• You need 104 UCAS points by September 2025. BTECs, Level 3 qualifications and International baccalaureate are welcome. 
• GCSE in Maths & English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent qualifications)
• The UK government requires that you have lived in the country for at least three years and have obtained permission from the UK government to reside in the country (not for educational purposes) to be eligible for apprenticeship funding. You can qualify if you have pre-settled or settled status.

• Have a keen interest in Software Development/Programming and Electronics
• Be able to explain why you're interested in working in tech and Arm specifically
• Enjoy solving problems and overcoming logical barriers
• Hold excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Passion, potential and, above all, curiosity

About the Level 6 Software Engineer Apprenticeship Programme

This 3-year Degree Apprenticeship programme will allow you to study towards a Digital Technology Solutions Level 6 Degree. You will have 1 day a week to focus on your academic work (remotely) and the rest of your week will be spent gaining work experience through on-the-job training. You will also earn a salary of £28.350!

What will you be working on?

• Online tools group – developing tools for Keil Studio
• Data Science – from Python projects to enabling AArch64
• Machine Learning – analysing machine learning workloads
• High Performance Compute – developing reference software stacks
• Compilers – developing compilers in C++
• Firmware – developing secure firmware
• Linux Kernel – debugging and testing
