Start date: September 2026.
Application criteria:
- 18+ years of age by the start of the apprenticeship (September 2026).
- Have lived in the UK continuously for 3+ years before the start of the apprenticeship.
- Legally able to work in the UK.
- GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent qualification).
- Have achieved, or expecting to achieve, a minimum of 104 UCAS points, including A-Level Maths or equivalent.

About the Data Scientist Apprenticeship
This is an 3-year Level 6 apprenticeship with a starting salary of £22,950 (and an additional £5,441 if you live in London).
BBC data scientists help to better understand the customers the BBC serve and the content served to them, turning raw data into valuable insights and products to better serve audience needs.
You will:
- Gain an industry-recognised qualification.
- Use data to enhance the way the BBC operates, using AI and machine learning approaches to deliver valuable audience insights and products.
- Learn about and contribute to all aspects of the Data Science lifecycle from inception to production deployment and beyond.
