Application criteria:
- 18+ years of age by the start of the apprenticeship (September 2026).
- Have lived in the UK continuously for 3+ years before the start of the apprenticeship.
- Legally able to work in the UK.
- GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent qualification).
- Have achieved or are expected to achieve a minimum of 112 UCAS points.
- A-Level Maths or extended BTEC in Engineering with Engineering Maths (or equivalent qualification).

About the Broadcast & Media Systems Engineer Degree Apprenticeship
This is a 3-year degree apprenticeship with a starting salary of £22,950.
Engineering in the BBC develops, supports and maintains the systems and infrastructure that keeps the BBC on air.
You will:
- Gain a degree in a relevant subject.
- Develop operational and engineering skills, learning how to use a variety of tools and systems.
- Develop teamworking and communication skills.
- Develop your understanding of how live content is acquired and presented to studios, recording areas, playout facilities and distribution platforms in the formats they each require.
