Placement details

Our PRIME scheme is a four-day, classroom-based placement where we will introduce you to the areas of law within which we practice, providing you insight into the alternative routes into the legal profession from visiting barristers and in-house lawyers. You'll meet and interact with professionals from every area of our business, including trainees, lawyers, partners and recruitment specialists. 

Underpinning the entire scheme will be numerous opportunities to develop skills that will be useful to you in the future, from presentation skills to develeoping personal impact, to mock interviews, all skills you will need in whatever career path you decide to pursue.

Following completion of the PRIME scheme there are a number of exciting, bespoke opportunities available to you:

• An online platform where you have access to mentors at the firm and PRIME alumni. You also receive regular bite-size learning modules to support you on your journey to university and beyond
• Fast track application to the Social Mobility Business Partnership (SMBP) to give you further work placement opportunities
• A reunion event before you start university to continue to build your network
• Exclusive access to an executive coaching programme to help prepare you for interviews
• Ongoing access to the graduate recruitment team

Our PRIME scheme is your first step to a career at Clifford Chance and alumni from the scheme will be encouraged to apply for our first-year SPARK programme. 

Requirements

• be interested in law
• attend a state (non-fee paying) school
• be in Year 12-13 (England and Wales); S5-6 (Scotland); or Lower or Upper Sixth (Northern Ireland)
• either be the first generation in your immediate family to attend university, or be (or have been) eligible for free school meals
