What is a Client Account Handler?

Account Handlers play a key role in servicing client accounts during the policy renewals process which can include producing presentations, negotiating premium prices and managing the relevant paperwork. It's a varied and busy role, but one that will also broaden your expertise in the world of broking. You will work directly with businesses across the UK to provide all types of insurance cover.

 

What is the Trainee Broker Scheme?

As a trainee broker, on the Trainee Broker Scheme, you’ll be part of Gallagher’s broking team, and will be the opportunity to provide best in class service to some of Gallagher’s existing accounts with the expertise of an experienced Broker/Account Executive by your side

Gallagher are looking for a customer-focused individuals who would enjoy working in a fast paced and ever evolving environment to provide outstanding support to the Account Executives. Here are some of the things you’ll be doing:

  • Working in partnership with Account Executives to deliver the needs of clients
  • Co-ordinate renewals documents, reports, balancing the mid-term adjustments and crafting new quotes for customers
  • Ensure client details are recorded accurately
  • Manage all account queries and credit control matters, highlighting any concerns to account managers on time

 

Who can apply?

The entry requirements for the scheme are 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English, or equivalent at Grade C/4. Students with predicted A-levels are invited to apply. The most suitable applicants will also have great interpersonal skills, be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, be a team player, and have a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Please note, this is a full time trainee role and would not be suited for a placement year, as an internship, or for those looking to go to univeristy.
