Application criteria:
- GCSEs: – C / 4 grade or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- A-Levels: 72 UCAS points, equivalent of 3 x D grades
- Right to work in the UK: You will need to have permanent right to work in the UK, with no time restrictions or limited working hours. Unfortunately, JLL are unable to sponsor visas, including Graduate Visas beyond the programme.

About the Apprenticeship
JLL's school leaver programme will provide you with first-hand experience while working towards a professional qualification.
You’ll join JLL on a 5-year trainee programme, working towards completing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management Chartered Surveyor status with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) – with the focus on working within the Pre-Construction team at Tetris.
Anyone without a degree can join this programme, as JLL are focused on training you to becoming a qualified and well-rounded professional.
The Pre-Construction role includes planning and strategising for a construction project before it begins, focusing on tasks like winning work, creating budgets, developing schedules, assessing risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with the client to define project goals. Key responsibilities include project feasibility studies, cost estimation, bid management, site assessment, and assembling the pre-construction team.
What your day-to-day will look like:
You’ll get involved in real work from day one that will help clients achieve their ambitions. The work will vary depending on the team you are in but below are some of what you’ll experience:
- Project Planning & Strategy: Developing comprehensive project strategies, budgets, and detailed construction schedules.
- Feasibility & Risk Assessment: Conducting site visits to evaluate project feasibility, identify potential challenges, and creating detailed risk registers.
- Cost & Budget Management: Developing accurate cost estimates, analysing financial performance, and ensuring projects align with budget constraints.
- Bid & Tender Management: Preparing and submitting bids, managing the tendering process, and ensuring quality-led bids, according to Monster.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaising with clients, senior management, and other project stakeholders to align with business goals.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety standards, mitigating risks, and contributing to health and safety documentation
- Relationships: You’ll build relationships across our business and clients to ensure we deliver a great service
- Teamwork: You’ll work with the Pre-Con team to deliver any and all of the above.
- Training: You’ll take part in regular training in business skills, technical knowledge, and professional development to support your growth

- Surveying qualification support – You’ll take part in various workshops to build your knowledge and skills for your Chartership assessment. You will be designated a mentor who will support you throughout the programme.
- Off-the-job training – As an apprentice, you will receive time to study with your training provider. This time will involve online learning, joining webinars, and completing assignments
- Dress for your day – Each day will be different, so we trust you to dress according to what you’re doing. For example, if you’re meeting clients then it’s important to dress smartly to reflect the great work we do, and we encourage you dress more casually when you don’t.
