About the opportunity
This six-week Building Surveying Internship at JLL offers students hands-on experience within one of the UK’s leading real estate and professional services firms. Interns will work alongside experienced Building Surveyors and gain insight into real client projects from day one.
Strong performance during the internship may lead to an invitation to interview for JLL’s graduate scheme the following year.
What you’ll do:
- Support Building Surveyors during site inspections
- Carry out desktop research on buildings and sites
- Help plan preventative maintenance schedules
- Assist with coordinating surveying instructions and projects
- Gain exposure to professional reporting and client-facing work
Who this is for
This opportunity is suited to students who are curious about the property and built environment sector and want to apply their academic learning in a real workplace.
You’ll need:
For Scottish applicants: Minimum of 6 Highers at grade A–B, including Maths and English/Numeracy equivalents
For other UK applicants: Minimum of seven GCSEs at grade 6/C or above, including Maths and English
Additional qualities:
- To be on track for a BSc or MSc in Building Surveying that is RICS accredited
- To be in your penultimate year of university
- Confidence communicating in writing and verbally
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Willingness to travel for site visits
- A proactive attitude and interest in learning
