Application criteria:

  • GCSEs: Minimum of 5 at grade C/4 or above, including English and Maths (or equivalent) 
  • A-Levels: 72 UCAS points, equivalent of 3 x D grades 
  • You will need to have permanent right to work in the UK, with no time restrictions or limited working hours. Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor visas, including Graduate Visas beyond the programme 

Skills:

  • Additional fluency in other language would be beneficial 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in recording safety data 
  • Ability to interpret and apply health and safety legislation 
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities 
  • Confidence to speak up about safety concerns and suggest improvements 
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines 
  • Basic understanding of risk management principles 
  • Willingness to work in various environments, including office and site-based locations

About the Apprenticeship

You will join JLL on a 24-month programme working towards your Level 3 safety qualification, gaining hands-on experience in workplace safety throughout your development. 

You will work alongside experienced safety professionals, safety mentors, contributing to the development and implementation of safety management across various businesses in JLL. 

Various responsibilities will include: 

  • Assist in conducting workplace risk assessments and safety audits 
  • Support the development and delivery of safety training programs 
  • Help maintain safety documentation and records 
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses 
  • Contribute to the creation and updating of safety policies and procedures 
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations 
  • Support the implementation of safety initiatives and campaigns 
  • Attend relevant training sessions and complete coursework for Level 3 safety qualifications  
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the safety management system 
  • Support the creation and updating of safe working procedures 
  • Help coordinate safety committee meetings and follow up on action items 
  • Participate in workplace inspections and report findings 
  • Assist in the investigation of near-misses and accidents 
  • Support the implementation of behaviour-based safety programs 
  • Help maintain safety equipment inventories and coordinate maintenance schedules 
  • Assist in preparing safety reports for management review 
  • Support the organisation's sustainability and environmental initiatives

  • Off-the-job training – As an apprentice, you will receive time to study with your training provider. This time will involve online learning, joining webinars, and completing assignments 
  • Dress for your day – Each day will be different, so we trust you to dress according to what you’re doing. For example, if you’re meeting clients then it’s important to dress smartly to reflect the great work we do, and we encourage you dress more casually when you don’t.
