Who Are Schroders?
Schroders are a global investment manager. They help institutions, intermediaries and individuals around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future.
They have around 5,000 people on 6 continents. They've been around for over 200 years, but keep adapting as society and technology changes. What doesn't change is their commitment to helping their clients, and society, prosper.
What is the Tax apprenticeship programme?
As an apprentice in the Tax department you will be employed full-time and will spend 20% of your working week receiving formal training towards your professional qualification. You'll be encouraged to build relationships with people across the business and grow your understanding of tax in a business context.
You will join as part of the Investment20/20 programme, with opportunities to meet and network with others across the industry and participate in training, socials and insight events.
As an apprentice in the tax department you will be exposed to a range of activities including:
- Assisting in the completion of tax compliance obligations.
- Working with the business to understand the impact of tax changes.
- Providing a point of contact for tax queries arising within the business.
- Learn to use Alphatax, Longview, Alteryx and Power BI, plus any other new tools as they may become available.
Who Should Apply?
Schroders are looking for someone numerate and analytical who is organised and flexible. They want someone enthusiastic, who has a passion for building a career in tax.
Ideally, you will have achieved 96 UCAS points to be eligible for this role. However, Schroders will still consider applicants who have not quite achieved this requirement.
You must be 18 years old by 5 September 2022.
