Who Are Schroders?
Schroders are a global investment manager. They help institutions, intermediaries and individuals around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future.
They have around 5,000 people on 6 continents. They've been around for over 200 years, but keep adapting as society and technology changes. What doesn't change is their commitment to helping their clients, and society, prosper.
What is the Fund Accounting apprenticeship?
You'll be part of the Finance and Accounting team within Schroders' real estate infrastructure business. You will join as part of the Investment20/20 programme, with opportunities to meet and network with others across the industry and participate in training, socials and insight events.
As a Schroders apprentice, you will spend 20% of your time working towards achieving your Professional Accounting qualification. The rest of your time will be spent working with your team and gaining the skills you need to build your expertise.
Some of the tasks and projects you'll be involved in include:
- Supporting the month end close process, including calculating cost and fee accruals and preparing financial reports.
- Assisting with the review and preparation of financial statements and NAV (Net Asset Value) calculations.
- Completing analytical reviews on results/balances and recording results.
- Assisting with the preparation of CIS (Collective Investment Scheme) returns and VAT return calculations.
Who Should Apply?
Schroders are looking for someone with a keen eye for numbers and an appetite for a challenge. They want an individual who enjoys problem-solving, with a genuine passion and interest in real estate.
Ideally, you will have achieved 96 UCAS points to be eligible for this role. However, Schroders will still consider applicants who have not quite achieved this requirement.
You must be 18 years old by 5 September 2022.
