About the Global Banking Apprenticeship Program
UBS's Apprenticeship program provides ambitious and talented individuals with an alternative route to a career in financial services. You'll earn a salary working in the exciting and fast-paced environment of investment banking, whilst completing training for a recognised qualification offering a fee-free on-the-job education alternative to the traditional university route.
Our apprentices will assist the teams in day-to-day operational running of the desk, which could include a range of tasks from maintaining a repository of client marketing slides, sourcing key information to contribute to roadshow planning and helping update regular market reports, seeing that there is consistency of messaging and content delivery to clients across Global Banking.
About UBS
UBS is the world's largest and only truly global wealth manager. They operate through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management and the Investment Bank. Their global reach and the breadth of their expertise are major assets that set them apart from their competitors. UBS draw son their differences – who they are, what they've experienced and how they think – to come together and deliver advice and solutions for their clients and for society.
Requirements
You need to have completed your A-levels or equivalent and achieve BBC by September 2023 along with a level 5/6 in English Language and Maths GCSE. It doesn’t matter what you’re studying. (Really, it doesn’t.) But we’d like to see evidence that you can:
• analyse a problem, take a view and come to a decision
• plan, organise and communicate well
• make things happen
• stick with a task
• work in a team
• come up with ideas
Perhaps you’ve organised a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or persevered and passed an exam in a subject you found challenging? Think about how things you’ve achieved match the skills we’re after.
Who UBS are looking for:
• driven, hard-working and keen to take on new challenges
• reliable and strong attention to detail
• basic knowledge of MS Office
• eager to solve problems, make things happen, stick with a task and work in a team
• think about how things you’ve achieved match what we’re after
• excellent organisational skills & multi tasker
• ability to work well under pressure
• strong communication skills with ability to convey information clearly, accurately and succinctly
• professional behaviour – dependable, reliable and accountable for own behaviour
