About the Intelligence Data Analyst role

As an Intelligence Data Analyst at GCHQ, you’ll be part of a team that tackles real-world challenges — from stopping terrorist attacks to protecting against cyber threats. Your work will directly contribute to national security and even help shape foreign policy decisions.

Day to day, you’ll be working with advanced technology to gather and examine huge amounts of information from many sources, including internet-connected devices. You’ll look for patterns, connect the dots, and figure out what’s really going on — a bit like solving a complex puzzle. Sometimes you’ll find the answer quickly, but other times you’ll need to explore unexpected paths to uncover the truth. Every day is different, and the fast-moving tech world means you’ll always be learning something new.

You’ll receive a starting salary of £36,408, plus receive 25 days annual leave per year and other incredible benefits!

During your initial training, you'll need to commit to full-time hours, Monday to Friday (37 hours per week). However, after this period you may be able to adjust your hours. This role can be flexitime, part time, job-share and compressed hours. Please note, due to the nature of the work, this role is fully office-based.
