It can often be hard to see what career paths certain A-Levels or Highers naturally lead on to, particularly with the social sciences. Mabinty Taylor-Kamara studied sociology and geography at school and used this interest in human decision-making to pursue a career in managing client projects and keeping members engaged with C Space.

C Space is a global customer agency who help businesses minimise risk and maximise their growth. This human-consultancy element of her apprenticeship with C Space is particularly satisfying; another related option for Mabinty would have been the area of planning and development.

In this role, Mabinty launches activities and moderates C Space’s online communities, analyses discussions and surveys, creates outputs of findings, and looks for member generated content that could be useful to clients outside of project work.

Her advice to you if you're not sure about your career path is to,

‘...be proactive, willing to learn, work as hard as possible in school in order to give yourself many options. Focus on the subjects and skills that you like as it will help you figure out a career path as there are many jobs out there which students have no clue about. Do your research!’
