Uptree

We are pleased to introduce Uptree student, Fiona Adenis, who recently started her insurance broker apprenticeship with BPL Global.

BPL Global specialises exclusively in credit and political risk insurance (CPRI) for multinational corporations, banks and financial institutions.

Fiona wasn't new to Uptree when she attended the BPL work experience day in their London offices last July; she had already attended our Deloitte work experience day and would later that summer intern at our property partner, Europa Capital .

All these experiences, combined with her academic studies and proactive personality, helped Fiona find her perfect apprenticeship. She said,

Uptree made the world of work accessible to me. Taking advantage of as many opportunities, presented to me as possible, meant that I was able to learn how to network better and build my personal brand.

But don't think that Fiona was just one of those students who 'always knew' what they wanted to do. In fact, prior to the insight day, she knew little to nothing about the insurance industry and had never even considered a career in the field!

This is why it's so important to venture out of your comfort zone and seek new opportunities , like those offered in your school/college and also through well-connected organisations like Uptree.

During the work experience day with BPL, Fiona was able to get an authentic insight not only into the industry but also into the company culture at BPL and her future career options.

We are delighted that Fiona is excelling in her apprenticeship and enjoying her time at this top global company.
