About the Cyber Security Graduate Scheme.

You don’t need to be a lawyer, or to have followed a traditional technology path, to build a successful career in Addleshaw Goddard’s Cyber Security team. Based in the Leeds office within the firm’s global IT team, this graduate scheme is looking for curious, motivated people with potential, whether you’re a recent graduate, have completed an industrial placement or are just starting out in Cyber Security.

A typical day could involve checking security systems for alerts, supporting investigations into incidents, taking part in vulnerability scanning and researching the latest cyber threats and trends. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the firm, attend training sessions and shadow experienced professionals, all within a supportive team culture where questions are encouraged and you’re given time to learn.

This is a non rotational scheme, but your work will be varied, helping you build knowledge across:

  • Security policies and procedures: helping to make sure the rules and guidelines for using systems securely and handling sensitive information are effective
  • Risk assessment: identifying weaknesses that could be exploited by cyber attackers and recommending ways to reduce or manage risks
  • Security systems: working with tools such as antivirus software and firewalls that protect the firm’s computers, networks and data

Network activity and security incidents: monitoring the firm’s network for unusual activity and supporting the response to potential threats

Recruitment process.

1. Application form: an online form covering your education, work experience and why you want the role, open from Monday 12th October to Monday 9th November 2026.

2. First stage interview and in tray exercise: a face to face panel interview, including the Senior Cyber Security Manager, alongside a technical in tray exercise, provisionally on Monday 23rd November 2026.

3. Second stage interview: an interview with senior members of the Cyber Security and IT Operations team, provisionally on Monday 30th November 2026.

The process is designed to assess your potential, not just what you already know, and Addleshaw Goddard welcome requests for adjustments to make it fair and accessible.
