About the Addleshaw Goddard Onboarding Coordinator Apprenticeship
Who are they?
The Onboarding team at Addleshaw Goddard helps set new clients up to work with the firm. Their role is to collect key information and make sure everything is correct before any legal work begins. This includes verifying the client, the work they do and making sure everything is legal, especially rules to prevent money laundering. The team also makes sure all the information is organised so that lawyers can start helping the client quickly.
What will you do?
As an Onboarding Coordinator Apprentice, you will support three functions with a range of administrative tasks. These functions are:
- Conflicts: The Conflicts team checks to make sure that the firm can work for a new client without issues or clashes with other clients. For example, is the firm helping someone else who might be on the opposite side of a legal case?
- Financial Crime & Sanctions: This team protects the firm from illegal activities like money laundering (attempts to hide money made from crime) and makes sure the firm follows rules about working with certain people or countries.
- Internal Audit: The Internal Audit team makes sure everything is done well and follows the rules. They look at processes and records to spot errors or risks, helping the firm improve and stay safe.
Is this role right for me?
Do you like addressing issues as they arise and adapting when necessary, handing sensitive information responsibly whilst in a trusted position in a club or society, and balancing multiple commitments such as schoolwork, part-time jobs, or volunteering? If so, we want to hear from you.
This two-year programme will allow you to gain hands-on experience in an extremely varied role, encompassing a wide range of administrative tasks. You will work across the Conflicts, Financial Crime & Sanctions, and Internal Audit functions, to ensure the effective and efficient onboarding of new clients. You will work towards completing the Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship with BPP as part of the programme.
Upon completion of the programme, you'll have the opportunity to progress within the team and continue building your career with them (subject to vacancies).
Competitive Benefits Package:
- Starting salary of £21,500 a year, with the potential for salary increments in your second year.
- Core benefits including Life Assurance, Income Protection, Pension, and Bonus schemes.
- Additional Health & Wellbeing benefits including access to healthcare, mental health support, and wellbeing and lifestyle initiatives.
