About the Engineering Pathways Internship.
Arm technology sits inside billions of devices, and this paid internship gives university students the chance to help build what comes next, working on real projects that span everything from the hardware inside a chip to the software and tools that bring it to life.
During the internship, you could gain experience in areas including:
- Hardware design: working on the logic, circuits and physical design inside Arm technology.
- Verification: proving that designs work through simulation, testing and validation.
- Performance modelling: studying how systems perform and balancing speed against power.
- Machine learning: building and improving machine learning models and the software that supports them.
- Software and tools: writing the firmware, drivers, compilers and tools that Arm engineers rely on every day.
- Programme management: helping shape and deliver technical products through strategy, data, planning and customer insight.
- Developer support: helping partners and developers around the world build with Arm.
What Arm looks for.
Arm does not expect experience in every area, but it wants to see examples of times you have built, tested, debugged, analysed or improved something technical, whether through coursework, lab work, research, personal projects, hackathons, student societies or previous internships. Arm also looks for curiosity about technology, a love of problem solving, and the ability to learn new tools quickly and work well with others.
As part of your application, Arm will ask about your interests, the projects you have worked on and the tools you have used, and it will review your answers alongside your CV to match you with the roles that suit you best. Arm aims to review all applications within two weeks of the closing date, although this can take longer during busy periods.
What Arm offers.
Interns receive regular feedback, development opportunities, mentoring and a buddy scheme, along with social activities to meet other interns and an end of internship celebration. Strong performers may also be considered for future Graduate roles at Arm.
About Arm.
Arm designs the technology that powers billions of connected devices across industries such as healthcare, infrastructure and virtual reality, and it offers a collaborative culture with a strong focus on learning, development and inclusion.
