About the First Year Insight Scheme.
Baker McKenzie’s First Year Insight Scheme offers a snapshot of life at a big, global law firm, with structured sessions introducing you to the firm’s departments and the work they do. It will also help you prepare for applying to Baker McKenzie’s Vacation Schemes or Direct Training Contract later in your degree.
Over two days, you’ll develop your commercial awareness and understanding of what being a Trainee Solicitor involves, then start building the core skills you need through group tasks and interactive workshops. You’ll be allocated a Trainee buddy for advice and support, enjoy plenty of networking opportunities and benefit from one to one sessions with the Graduate Recruitment and Development team.
