About the Summer Vacation Scheme.
Baker McKenzie’s Summer Vacation Scheme gives you a realistic taste of what it’s like to be a commercial lawyer at a global law firm, and is the perfect stepping stone to a Training Contract. It’s a great opportunity to make your summer count, meet like minded people and see what life as a Trainee Solicitor is really like.
From day one, you’ll be involved in live work, attending client meetings and networking with Partners, Associates and Trainee Solicitors, while a breakfast with the firm’s Management Committee will help you understand Baker McKenzie’s overall strategy. Over three weeks, you’ll experience two different seats with an allocated supervisor and buddy in each, alongside training sessions that introduce you to typical transactions and help you develop the key skills you’ll need as a Trainee Solicitor.
About Baker McKenzie.
Baker McKenzie’s London office is part of a firm that set out from the very beginning to be a global law firm, so everything it does is international in outlook and approach. Its commercial law expertise spans ten practice areas, including Banking, Corporate, Dispute Resolution, Employment, EU, Competition and Trade, IPTech, Pensions, Real Estate, Structured Capital Markets and Tax, and its lawyers often work together in cross practice, multi jurisdictional teams.
Baker McKenzie values ambition over background, and gives trainees the space, experiences and challenges to build a successful career as a commercial lawyer in a friendly environment where they are challenged and supported in equal measure from day one.
