Overview
Location: Hybrid opportunity - 5 day placement, with 2 days in a UK office, and 3 days virtual.
Salary/pay: This is a paid placement, and candidates will receive £500 for the week.
Start dates:
- LIFT Social Mobility: 8th-12th July 2024
- LIFT Black Heritage: 15th-19th July 2024
Application criteria:
- Applicants must be aged 18 years or older, and no longer in a compulsory year of education.
- No minimum grade requirements.
- LIFT Social Mobility requires applicants to meet at least one of the below criteria:
- Eligible for free school meals.
- Household income of less than £21,000 at aged 14 or so.
- Parent/carer did not attend university
- Ocupation of highest-paid parent/carer was technical/craft occupations, routine/manual occupations, or unemployed, when aged 14 or so.
- Spent time in local-authority care, or have experience being a carer.
- Refuge or asylum seeker status as a child.
- Experienced homelessness.
- Consider yourself to be from a lower socio-economic background.
- LIFT Black Heritage requires applicants to be of black heritage. This includes anyone that identifies as Black, African, Caribbean, Black British or Mixed/Multiple ethnic groups: Black African/Caribbean/British and one or more other ethnicities.
