About the Manufacturing R&D (Research & Development) Apprenticeship
This is a five-year programme where you'll work towards a Bachelor of Engineering degree (BEng) in Professional Engineering (Science Industry Process & Plant Engineer).
You’ll receive tailored on-the-job training from industry experts from day one and be given early responsibility to help you to develop and progress. You will have a buddy or a mentor who will help you to prepare for joining GSK and will be there to offer support and guidance throughout your apprenticeship.
You will be part of one of GSK's Research & Development (R&D teams). You will be within the Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) Manufacturing-Catapult team, who are responsible for the hands-on manufacture and timely delivery of life-saving clinical materials.
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, it is possible to secure a permanent role in GSK and continue to contribute to their mission. The large majority of their apprentices find permanent roles with them.
The base salary for this apprenticeship is £17,500 per annum and GSK also offer an annual bonus.
