About the LBG Careers Live Experience

Join Lloyds banking Group on the first Tuesday of every month for their Careers Live Experience.

This virtual event will give you the opportunity to meet colleagues from across Lloyds Banking Group. Each colleague will have a unique experience to share, working in some of the high-demand and evolving roles that are shaping the future of financial services.

Using AI to get ahead in your job applications - Tuesday 2 June 2026

Applying for jobs or apprenticeships while you're still studying is a lot to manage. Coursework, exams, deadlines — and on top of all that, navigating application forms, online tests, interviews and employer expectations that are not always obvious. 💼

Everyone is talking about AI. But most of the conversation is asking the wrong question. This session asks a better one: how do you actually use it well?

What this session is about 🤔

This is not about getting AI to write your application for you. It is about using it as your coach and strategist — to think more clearly, prepare more effectively and stay in control of your own voice throughout the process.

What you will learn ✅

We walk you through six practical ways to use AI across your whole application journey — from building a strong personal profile and analysing job adverts, to practising interviews, managing multiple deadlines and understanding your data rights. You will also see real example prompts you can start using straight away.

Who is this for? 🎓

Year 12 and 13 students, S5 and S6 students, and anyone applying for apprenticeships, internships or early careers roles this year. No prior knowledge of AI tools needed — just bring yourself.

What you will take away 🎁

A downloadable AI and recruitment resource sheet, example prompts you can adapt for your own applications and a clearer, more confident approach to the whole process.
