About the Investment Banking Summer Internship.

Peel Hunt’s paid, eight week Summer Internship Programme is designed for ambitious students who want to explore a career in investment banking and corporate broking, working alongside Analysts on live transactions and client projects across a range of sector and product teams.

After an induction programme that includes time in Peel Hunt’s Research and Equities Department, you’ll be supported by a mentor as you work on live client matters across the Investment Banking division, developing your research, financial analysis and presentation skills through training and on the job learning. The programme also serves as a pathway to Peel Hunt’s Investment Banking Graduate Programme for interns who demonstrate strong potential.

During the internship, you could gain experience in areas including:

• Transactions: working on deals such as IPOs, rights issues and M&A projects, with exposure to valuation, investment cases, transaction documents, financial and legal due diligence and project management.
• Marketing: helping to draft marketing materials for current and potential corporate clients and supporting a range of other projects.
• Sector teams: supporting teams that focus on specific sectors, such as Consumer, Real Estate and Healthcare, and contributing to their success.

Selection process.

1. Online application, including a CV and short video submission.
2. Interactive online group assessment workshop, giving you the chance to demonstrate your commercial awareness, teamwork and problem solving skills.
3. Final interview at Peel Hunt’s offices at 100 Liverpool Street, where you’ll meet members of the Investment Banking team and learn more about a career at the firm.
