Start date: 2nd September 2024

Application criteria: 

  • You must be 18 years old by 2 September to apply for the 2024 intake
  • You must have gained A-levels (or equivalent) in any subjects – no minimum UCAS point required 
  • Must achieve a level 2 in both English and maths (i.e. a GSCE grade A* to C (or 9 to 4)) or equivalent 
  • At the start of your new apprenticeship, it is important that you are not currently enrolled in another funded apprenticeship or any other funded further education or higher education program.

Please note that funding for a repeated qualification is not available

About the opportunity

The Schroders Service Desk head up the front lines of the IT Service teams. Our goal is to provide excellent customer service and quick responses to our users. As part of this team you will support their international offices by developing, rolling out and maintaining our systems and processes, using cutting-edge software and hardware.

  • Gaining hands-on experience with monitoring Schroders IT network infrastructure using different tools and technologies and understanding how an IT service desk operates in a business like Schroders
  • Working with a variety of people from across IT Services including Network, Security, Storage, Servers, and Applications on end to end projects
  • Take responsibility for your very own Business Project on an area you’re passionate about and personalised to your career goals
  • Providing excellent customer service to users and clients
  • Learning from highly experienced members of staff, and gaining the experience and knowledge required to become a great service desk technician
  • You will learn how to resolve any incident that is raised by a user
  • Hands-on experience with Request management, which can range from deploying an application to a users machine to creating a shared mailbox

Salary £24,000 pa
