About the Solicitor Apprenticeship Programme

Trowers & Hamlins created this route because it believes success in law should depend on your perspective, drive and work ethic rather than your background, making it ideal if you are interested in law but are not yet sure where to start. During the first four years you will complete your law degree while rotating each year through different departments, and in the final two years you will prepare for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) while moving through six month departmental rotations to deepen your practical skills. Based on these two stages, the programme runs for around five and a half years in total (four years plus one and a half years), starting in September 2027.
