I don’t have an Uptree account – how can I get started?

You can sign up for a free Uptree account here. If you have any trouble creating your account, read on. Once you have your account, you'll be able to apply to events, follow companies and have a go at our online courses.

I'm trying to set up my account, but I can't find my school!

Our website is case sensitive, so make sure you've put capital letters in the right place, as well as any apostrophes or hyphens. If in doubt, google your school and copy the name as it appears officially.

I can't add my phone number to my profile!

Make sure your phone number is in the international format eg: +447395795524. If you don't know how to do this, take your regular phone number, and take off the initial '0' and replace this with the international dialing code - in the UK this is +44 . In total this should be a + followed by 12 digits.

My email is blocked!

Unfortunately some email providers like to block Uptree. If this is the case, we recommend going to your Uptree profile and changing your primary email address. Ideally use a Gmail or Googlemail email as these are least likely to block us.

I haven't received an email to verify my account!

First things first, check your Spam/Junk folder in your emails. If it's in there, make sure you mark Uptree as a safe sender. If not, your email may be blocked, so we recommend changing the email you signed up with. We recommend using a Gmail or Googlemail email as these are least likely to be blocked.

How can I reset my password?

If you have forgotten your password, you can go to our login page and select 'forgot password'. This will then take you through the steps to reset your password.

If you know your password and want to change it, you can do this through your profile.

I have work experience in a set week - can you offer me a place at an event then?

All our live work experience is available to view on the Events page of the website and you can filter this based on the dates you need. If there's nothing available currently, keep coming back to check as we launch new opportunities all the time.

Unfortunately, we cannot liaise with companies on your behalf or create specific opportunities based on your dates.

There's no work experience events that meet my needs!

Don't worry, if there's a particular company you're interested in, head to their company page and click follow and you'll receive an email notification when they next launch a work experience event. Hopefully you'll be able to make it to that one!

Can I become an ambassador for Uptree?

Yes, we have an ambassador programme! As an ambassador, you could get the chance to:

Can you give me a reference?

We can't give any personal references. However, if you attended a work experience programme through Uptree, we can confirm you attended.
