Overview.

Deloitte’s BrightStart Higher Apprenticeship is an earn while you learn programme for school and college leavers who want to start a professional career straight after sixth form or college, working in a permanent role while studying towards recognised professional qualifications.

BrightStart apprentices join a specific business area from day one, gaining hands on experience alongside experienced colleagues and following a structured career path that offers fast progression for people who are ready to learn and grow.

Deloitte is recruiting BrightStart apprentices into the following roles:

• Audit in Leeds, Birmingham, Cambridge, Cardiff, London, Reading, Southampton, Manchester, Bristol, Nottingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast & Aberdeen
• Business Transformation Consulting in Belfast
• Executive Reward Consulting in London
• Indirect Tax Consulting in Reading and London
• Tax Consulting in Reading and London
• Tax Transformation and Technology in London

Application criteria.

• You will need to have achieved, or be studying towards, at least 104 UCAS points from your top three A levels or equivalent qualifications (260 UCAS points if achieved before 2017).
• Some specialist roles have different entry requirements, so check the criteria on each individual job description before you apply.
• Deloitte has removed A level and GCSE requirements for most of its programmes but still asks for these grades on your application, because some business areas have specific needs such as A level Maths.

• An analytical mind and an interest in solving complex problems in creative ways
• Openness to using AI and other technology as part of your everyday work
• A real hunger to learn and develop throughout your apprenticeship

What you’ll do.

Your day to day work will depend on the business area you join, and each role offers a different route into a professional services career:

• Audit: checking that the financial information organisations publish is accurate and reliable, working with clients across a wide range of industries.
• Business Transformation Consulting: helping organisations improve the way they work, from their processes and systems to how their teams operate.
• Executive Reward Consulting: advising organisations on how they pay and reward their senior leaders, including the tax and regulatory rules that apply.
• Indirect Tax Consulting: advising businesses on taxes such as VAT and customs duties that apply to the goods and services they buy and sell.
• Tax Consulting: working with high profile businesses from day one to create and deliver new tax solutions.
• Tax Transformation and Technology: helping tax teams use technology and data to work more efficiently and accurately.
